‘Rowdy Star’ Vijay Devarakonda is celebrating his 35th birthday today. Known for his outspoken nature, the actor has developed more haters than admirers in his decade-long film career. Neverthless, he is a fantastic performer and deserves to emerge as the next ‘Super Star’.
Vijay has surprised his fans by dropping not one but three big updates on his future endeavours. First and foremost is his collaboration with Gowtam Tinnanuri of Jersey (2019) fame. Tentatively titled #VD12, this will be an action drama set against an Indian army backdrop. Naga Vamshi is bankrolling this project on a massive budget under Sithara Entertainments.
Next up is his second collaboration with Rahul Sankrityan after the horror flick Taxiwala (2018). According to the poster, this will probably be a period drama with an adventurous touch. Referred to as #VD14, Mythri Movie Makers will produce this venture.
The last and most exciting of all is his project with newcomer Ravi Kiran Kola, who directed the critically acclaimed films Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam (2022) and Raja Vaaru Rani Gaaru (2019). A high-octane action film, this is touted as a ‘Pan-Indian’ project with simultaneous release across five languages.
Ace producer ‘Dil’ Raju will fund this big-budgeted project under Sree Venkateshwara Creations. Vijay must be applauded for his ambitious plans, even after facing multiple setbacks lately. Let’s hope these projects turn out to be winners at the box office, providing the much-needed breakthrough for the Arjun Reddy (2017) star.
