Finally, the big day is here for Ajith fans. The Kollywood star will be seen on the big screen after a gap of 2 years with Magizh Thirumeni’s Vidaamuyarchi. While the film’s promotions failed to create a massive buzz, Ajith’s stardom and his comeback have certainly created some curiosity about this action thriller.
Releasing on weekdays and with many obstacles, Ajith’s star power created hype and registered record advances for the film. The advance bookings are close to 30 Cr before the first show starts.
Vidaamuyarchi review and public talk
Speaking about Vidaamuyarchi’s reviews and initial talks, this Magizh Thirumeni film has received mostly below-par reviews from overseas premieres.
As per the early reviews from the audience, the first half starts on a very slow note and picks the pace towards the interval. The second half also goes on the same slow note. Most of the initial reactions are panning the weak story with flat and draggy narration. The lack of big emotions or twists has also not worked in the movie’s favour.
In addition to this, Anirudh’s music also failed to create the expected impact. With these reviews and unfavourable initial talk, pulling the audience to the theatre now solely rests on Ajith’s star power. While that may happen with the weekend approaching, many are upset about Ajith yet again failing to deliver a proper commercial subject.
