‘Super Star’ Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan is hitting the big screens this Thursday. The film’s genre and the actor-director combination do not make it a regular commercial entertainer, thus implying that the makers are aiming for a long run and not openings.
Talking about the bookings, Vettaiyan has minted over INR 13 crore from pre-sales in India; 60% of them have come from the state of Tamil Nadu alone. In the overseas belt, the figure stands at $1.75 million. Overall, the film’s worldwide advance bookings stand at an impressive INR 28 crore.
