Director Venkatesh Maha has become the center of a major controversy as his critical remarks about KGF 2 have pulled harsh criticism from various sections of movie lovers. Last night, Venkatesh Maha posted a video clarifying his comments and also apologized for the language usage.
The director of C/o Kancharapalem, however, claimed that his views on the film and the characters in the film would remain the same. He said he voiced his opinion on the film. He took his social media account to post the videos.
Venkatesh said he had a difference of opinion, and he also said that his remarks were about a movie character, but not about a person. He said many others have also expressed a similar view of him. He said he had received several messages supporting his critical comments. He said he regretted the choice of his words and the way he had expressed it. Furthermore, he stated that people misunderstood his comments based on his language and body language.
“While I had made comments on a film character, many are targeting me (a real-life person). My images are badly circulated all over with abuses and trolls. Earlier too, I had faced this,” said director Venkatesh Maha. He said he just lent voice on behalf of so many who didn’t like the film.
On the whole, Venkatesh Maha’s clarification video sounds like a cover-up and is a conditional excuse. Therefore, this may not work well with the netizens and fans of Yash, Prasanth Neel. Earlier, director Nandini Reddy apologized as well, and the public did not approve this.
