Pawan Kalyan’s last two theatrical releases are OG and Hari Hara Veera Mallu. The OG theatrical business is at around ₹180 Cr, making it one of the biggest deals in Telugu cinema and the highest in the actor’s career. Now, Ustaad Bhagat Singh is all set to stand between the above-mentioned films.
On the other hand, Hari Hara Veera Mallu did around ₹125 Cr in theatrical business, which still stands as the second biggest pre-release deal for the actor.
Where Does Ustaad Bhagat Singh Stand?
Now, all eyes are on Ustaad Bhagat Singh, scheduled for a March 26 release as the first big Tollywood summer release.
Producers are reportedly quoting numbers close to the OG range, but distributors are said to be offering around 15% less than the quoted price.
As negotiations continue, the theatrical business of Ustaad Bhagat Singh is expected to settle at approximately ₹155 Cr. With this, the film stands between OG and Hari Hara Veera Mallu in terms of theatrical business.
Ustaad Bhagat Singh needs impactful promotional content
Scheduled for a March 26 release, Ustaad Bhagat Singh is the first major Tollywood biggie of this summer season. So far, the team has released two songs from the album. Fans are now expecting high-quality promotional video content. But there is buzz that the makers might release a third single next, before unveiling the trailer.
Directed by Harish Shankar, the film stars Sreeleela and Raashii Khanna as the female leads. Music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, and Mythri Movie Makers produce the film.
