Big Trouble for Ustaad Bhagat Singh? Toxic and Dhurandhar 2 Impact Release Plans

Ustaad Bhagat Singh screen count Ustaad Bhagat Singh March 26 release

Ustaad Bhagat Singh Release Date: Can Pawan Kalyan’s Film Get Enough Screens?

Ustaad Bhagat Singh is the first Tier-1 biggie of the year in Telugu cinema and is officially slated for a grand release on March 26. The makers are gearing up for aggressive promotions, with the second single “Aura of Ustaad” set to release this Sunday.

Starring Pawan Kalyan and directed by Harish Shankar, the film carries strong expectations. The duo previously delivered the industry blockbuster Gabbar Singh, and fans are hoping for another massive commercial entertainer.

However, despite the hype, there is one major concern surrounding the Ustaad Bhagat Singh release date – screen count.

Toxic and Dhurandhar 2 Creating Screen Pressure

Just one week before Ustaad Bhagat Singh hits theatres, two major Pan-India films are arriving.

On March 19, the sequel to Bollywood’s industry hit, Dhurandhar The Revenge, is releasing in multiple languages including Telugu. The film is expected to demand a significant number of screens across major territories.

On the same day, Toxic, starring Yash, is also releasing. With a reported ₹500+ crore budget and strong distribution backing from Dil Raju in Telugu states, Toxic is likely to occupy a large chunk of theatres.

Because both films are Pan-India releases, the impact will not be limited to Telugu states alone. Screen allocation pressure is expected in almost all major circuits.

Can Ustaad Bhagat Singh Secure a Big Opening?

Every star-driven film depends heavily on its first weekend performance. For a Pawan Kalyan film, a massive screen count is crucial to generate record openings.

But in the current scenario, replacing Toxic and Dhurandhar 2 within just one week of their release looks practically difficult.

Adding to this, on April 3, Biker starring Sharwanand is scheduled to release, and that film too is backed by Dil Raju in Telugu states. This creates another layer of distribution complexity.

Trade analysts believe that while Ustaad Bhagat Singh will certainly command strong fan-driven openings, achieving a huge theatre count similar to other major star releases may be challenging.
