Ustaad Bhagat Singh: A Complete Fan Feast, Not a Remake

Ustaad Bhagat is not a remake. Overall, the director described Ustad Bhagat Singh as a powerful action entertainer designed to please Pawan Kalyan’s fans. Meanwhile, the film’s first song, Dekhlenge Saala, was released a short while ago and has received a positive response from the audience.

After the blockbuster Gabbar Singh, the announcement of Ustaad Bhagat Singh in the combination of Pawan Kalyan and Harish Shankar created immense excitement among fans. However, the joy quickly turned into disappointment when it was revealed that the film was a remake of the Tamil movie Theri.

Recently, director Harish Shankar clarified that Ustaad Bhagat Singh is not a remake. He stated that the film is a grand treat meant to thoroughly entertain Pawan Kalyan’s fans.

Speaking to fans, Harish Shankar revealed, “Initially, I planned Ustaad Bhagat Singh as a college love story. But considering the expectations associated with our combination, where fans look forward to a mass entertainer, I made several changes to the story.

During that phase, the COVID-19 pandemic changed everything, and I went through a period of depression. Because of that, there was some delay from my side in shaping the story properly. It is true that at one point we considered making a remake, but the entire team was not fully excited about it. So, we dropped that idea and decided to work on a completely new story,” he said.
