Guntur Kaaram was released amidst very high expectations from Mahesh fans as it was a combination of Trivikram and Mahesh Babu. The film, however, could not manage to reach the sky-high expectations it created. It performed decently at the box office due to the combination and Sankranti but the fans were left asking for more.
The action entertainer saw several hurdles at the shooting times with continuous postponements, creative differences, and script changes. Many changes happened in the shooting stages and several portions were removed by the makers

Mahesh can be seen in a massy avatar, intense expression with weapons in hand. This appears to be a still from an action episode. The fans’ response to this has been quite rough with fans lashing out at the production house for releasing this still so late and not during the movie promotions.
