This weekend is going to be awesome for Telugu cinema fans with a triple treat. Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan, Vikram’s Veera Dheera Sooran, and MAD Square are dropping for streaming. There could be no other happy news for the OTT viewers, as 3 films are dropping on OTT this weekend.
L2: Empuraan – Veera Dheera Sooran on OTT from this Thursday
Empuraan, starring Mohanlal, is the highest-grossing Malayalam film at over Rs. 260 crores. Prithviraj Sukumaran’s political action drama got mixed reviews, but the pre-release buzz and sequel factor boosted its box office success.
Empuraan will be streamed on Hotstar in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada from April 24. Controversy during its theatrical run has heightened interest as everyone is waiting to see whether the uncut version will be available in the digital release.
Chiyaan Vikram led Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2, which received good reviews, but it could not turn those responses into a good box office result. Starring SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Dushara Vijayan in the key roles, this Arun Kumar directorial will be available on Prime Video from April 24.
MAD Square on OTT from April 25
As said above, 3 films are dropping on OTT this weekend, and one of them is Empuraan, and the other one is Veera Dheera Sooran. The last one is our Telugu movie, the comedy sequel MAD Square. MAD Square had a decent response upon its theatrical release, and though it became a big hit at the box office, it did not continue the momentum after a big first weekend. The film will be available on Netflix from April 25.
