Trendsetting decision: Aamir Khan set to end the OTT era

Bollywood Actor Aamir Khan has decided to move away from OTT agreements for his films further. Now-a-days, we see every film’s makers locking the OTT agreements even before the shoot by sacrificing the theatrical run for big amounts offered by the OTT platforms. This hugely affects the theatrical run and experience as well. Now, Aamir Khan is set to end the OTT era with his decision.

Aamir Khan as said has taken the step to end this tradition which is indeed a brave decision. He will not be selling the digital rights of his upcoming films anymore as long as they run in the theatres. His plan is to revive the lost theatrical experience in the big screens for at least 12 weeks i.e,. 84 days. He will be the trendsetter in setting up this plan.

It would be great if this plan works out. All the makers must stop selling their films prior to the release. This is killing the audience by making them stay at their homes and wait for the OTT arrival of certain films. Aamir Khan may have sensed this reception from the audience for his films. This move will definitely help the theatrical owners by reviving the theatrical experience. Let’s hope that all the other makers follow Aamir Khan’s decision.
