The film is set against the backdrop of Sri Lanka’s financial crisis. It depicts a Tamil family’s struggle for survival and a brighter future as they move to Tamil Nadu. The film, produced by Nazerath Pasilian, Magesh Raj Pasilian, and Yuvaraj Ganesan, was released in theaters on May 1.
Helmed by director Abishan Jeevinth, who marked his debut successfully with the film, Tourist Family stars Sasikumar, Simran, Mithun Jai Sankar, and Kamalesh in the lead roles, while Yogi Babu, M.S. Bhaskar, Ramesh Thilak, and others appear as supporting actors.
