Nagarjuna has been having a bad time both on the big screen as well as the small screen. His last few movies- Ghost, Bangarraju, Wild Dog all failed to deliver a big hit for him. Apart from this, the current season of Bigg Boss is also not performing well on the rating front. The response to this season has been pretty cold and there are not many takers for the season compared to earlier ones.
The Ghost had attracted great interest when the first look was released. The film’s teaser gave an indication that we are in for something new. However, the movie’s disastrous performance has created a serious dent on Nagarjuna’s stardom. The audience’s excitement couldn’t be captured beyond the promotional content and the film failed miserably.
It appears that even the staunchest of Akkineni fans have started avoiding Nagarjuna movies. Ghost for example did a pre-release business of around Rs 20 crores and could collect only Rs 4 crores.
Several film lovers feel that Nagarjuna should introspect and come back with mass or family entertainers. At one point in time, Nagarjuna was the most successful among senior heroes as he delivered classical hits like Manam, Oopiri, and pure mass entertainer Soggade Chinni Nayana.
But after that, he lost track and his films flopped continuously, he’s struggling to bring audience to the theaters.
