Tollywood’s move to settle disputes

It is widely known that for a few months or even years, the Telugu film industry has been dealing with the issues between distributors and producers. Tollywood announces a new committee as a part of the move to settle disputes.

Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce announces a 30-member committee

To resolve the longstanding problem between producers and exhibitors, the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce has announced the formation of a 30-member committee. This decision was taken during the executive committee meeting held in Visakhapatnam on May 30.

The newly formed committee includes representatives from the three sections of the Telugu film industry — producers, exhibitors, and distributors. It will stress the ongoing issues, most notably the exhibitors’ demand for a share/percentage in box office revenues over the traditional rental model.

Committee Members List:

Tollywood announces a new committee as a part of the move to settle disputes between exhibitors and producers, and the committee members include Chairman P. Bharath Bhushan, K. L. Damodar Prasad, Dil Raju, N. Sudhakar Reddy, D. Suresh Babu, Sunil Narang, T. Prasanna Kumar, C. Kalyan, Ravi Shankar Yellamanchili, DVV Danayya, Swapna Dutt, Supriya Yarlagadda, Vijayender Reddy, and Bala Govind Raj, among others.

The issue between exhibitors and producers escalated in recent days, and there was even the thought of a theatrical shutdown from June 1, which was later dismissed by producers like Dil Raju and Allu Aravind.

Unexpectedly, this whole issue was linked with Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which was scheduled to be released on 12 June 2025, but the film was postponed from that date.
