Is Tiger Nageswara Rao’s team showing confidence or overconfidence? This is the question doing the rounds in industry circles at the moment. It is widely known that Mass Maharaja’s upcoming film, Tiger Nageswara Rao, which also happens to be his first ever pan-Indian film, is set to be released on worldwide screens in the next two days. However, after observing their behavior, one cannot help but wonder whether Tiger Nageswara Rao’s team is showing confidence or overconfidence.
The team has locked in more than 180 minutes of runtime, which is very risky for any film. If the audience feels bored or lengthy, then the film’s word of mouth will be affected, as there are many films that have suffered because of lengthy runtime. Yes, if the content needs the runtime, the story has a huge span, or the screenplay is engaging, then definitely the runtime will work.
Reportedly, many distributors and a few close people in the industry have said that runtime is the issue with the film, but Tiger Nageswara Rao’s team is very confident about the output, and they are not even bothering about runtime as they feel the movie needs that runtime. After release, if the movie works, then we can say their confidence is correct, but if it does not work, then it will definitely be overconfidence.
Raviteja’s Tiger Nageswara Rao received a U/A certificate, and the runtime is 181 minutes. The film tells the tale of Tiger Nageswara Rao, who was responsible for multiple heists in Stuartpuram, and shows how he evaded the police on numerous occasions. On October 3, the trailer was released by the makers of the film and received a superb response.
Nupur Sanon’s debut film is also marked by this film. Anupam Kher, the veteran Hindi actor, returns to a full-fledged role in Telugu after more than three decades, while actress Renu Desai makes a comeback to acting after two decades. Abhishek Agarwal, who established Abhishek Agarwal Arts, is the one who produced the film. The music for the film is composed by GV Prakash Kumar, while the cinematography department is handled by R. Madhi, known for films like Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Manithan, and more. October 20th marks the release of the film on the big screens.
