The competition between Thunivu and Varisu at Pongal 2023 has raised all the heat after the two films announced their release dates on the same day, i.e.11th January. Now the buyers are facing problems because of this date to date clash.
12th January is considered as the best date according to the buyers and both the movie units suddenly have preponed to 11th January. Now again there are rumors coming that they are looking for another date.
Thunivu producers prefer solo release and Varisu producers also want the same release date as Thunivu. According to the reports another release update from both the teams Thunivu and Varisu is exepected today.

Thunivu is directed and written by H. Vinoth. The film stars superstar Ajith Kumar and Manju Warrior and is produced by Boney Kapoor. Alongside the major leads, Samuthirakani, Veera, John Kokken, and Bagavathi Perumal appear in supporting roles.
