Thug Life Day 2 Crash: Bigger Disaster Than Indian 2

Everyone expected the film to take one of the biggest starts in Kollywood, and many even anticipated a 100 Cr plus opening, as Kollywood has that potential market with Leo and GOAT opening with more than 100 Cr on the first day. Now, after the 2nd weekend, the movie collection stands at 92 Cr gross, which is also the closing collection for the film. Kamal Haasan's Thug Life results in an epic box office flop, as it fails to hit 100 cr even in its full run. A film, which was expected to have a 100 Cr plus opening, did not even collect 100 Cr in its full run, which came as a big shock for everyone, and another surprising thing is, it will end below Kamal Haasan and Shankar's disaster, Indian 2, at the box office.

Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan’s much-anticipated film, Thug Life, faces tough times at the box office. After a disappointing day 1, Thug Life Day 2 sees an unexpected crash, and it is heading towards a bigger disaster than Indian 2.

The audience could not digest the fact that the most appreciated and respected Nayakan duo delivered such a pointless and pathetic film. That is why they unanimously thrashed and rejected the film.

Thug Life Box Office: Huge Crash On Day 2

Kamal’s action drama had a below-par start with around 38 Cr gross worldwide on day 1. With the negative word-of-mouth impact, Kamal Haasan’s Thug Life Day 2 sees an unexpected crash, and it is heading towards a bigger disaster than Indian 2.

Surprisingly, Indian 2 at least managed to get some notable numbers till the first weekend, but Thug Life crashed on day 2 itself, shocking the trade circles.

At this trend, it looks like the film will struggle to even surpass the 100 Cr mark in its full run, whereas Indian-2 managed to collect more than 150 Cr gross.

The difference in the numbers of both films tells how much bigger a disaster Kamal and Mani Ratnam’s film is than the Shankar’s directorial.
