Thug Life starring Kamal Haasan and Simbu is gearing up for release tomorrow. The film has created much hype and expectations in the recent times. The trade analysts also hoped a record start for the film but surprisingly, the advance bookings tell a different story. They have started on an average note.
In Tamil Nadu, the film is carrying 7 crores advances and in Kerala, the advances are just 60 Lakhs. In Telugu States, the advances are in the range of 1.2 crores and the bookings are not promising in Hindi version. As we already know, Thug Life has been banned in Karnataka with the controversy started by Kamal Haasan. So, the film’s advance range will be nearly 10 crores in India and the overseas market adds another 10 crores taking it to 20 crores worldwide.
With these bookings, the film is expected to take an opening close to 50 crores gross which will be the third biggest opening for Kamal Haasan after his Vikram and Indian 2.
