Rajinikanth’s Dharman is an upcoming action thriller directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, known for Oh My Kadavule and Dragon. Produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International along with R. Mahendran of Turmeric Media, the film features Rajinikanth as a stylish and deadly doctor. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music, with Niketh Bommi handling cinematography. The film is currently in production and is expected to release in 2027.
Telugu Stars’ Cameos
With Rajinikanth at the centre, Dharman is naturally a major Tamil-market project, but the makers are also looking to strengthen its presence in the Telugu market. The addition of popular Telugu actors is expected to give the film an extra connect with Telugu audiences. The project already has Raashii Khanna, Simran and Yogi Babu in important roles, while recent developments have confirmed the involvement of two prominent Telugu stars.
Raising Expectations
The latest additions are Ram Pothineni and Sreeleela. Ram’s involvement had been the subject of speculation after a picture posted and subsequently deleted by Raashii Khanna appeared to feature him alongside Rajinikanth. Sreeleela has now joined the shoot in Mysuru, with reports confirming her inclusion in the cast. The details of their characters are being kept under wraps, although there is strong speculation that the two could be paired together.
