According to the plan, Lokesh Kanagaraj needs to start Kaithi 2 and immediately move to Aamir Khan’s project after Coolie. But suddenly the news of him directing the Rajinikanth-Kamal Haasan multistarrer spread in the industry circles.

Kamal Haasan’s RKFI (Raaj Kamal Films International) and Red Giant Movies produce this movie, and Kamal confirmed that he and Rajinikanth will work in the film in a recent public interaction.
But for this film, the team seems to be looking at other options now. Rajinikanth says, “Yes, Kamal Haasan and I will be acting together in the next film after Jailer 2, produced by RKFI and Red Giant. The story and director are not yet finalized; discussions are ongoing.”
For this film Lokesh Kanagaraj is the initial choice, but now the news is that the team wants another director to handle this project and not Lokesh, which is definitely a shocker for the director.

Definitely Lokesh himself is the reason for him getting into this position, as both Leo and Coolie are not greatly executed. We need to wait and see to know which director will be finalized for the massive multistarrer of Rajini and Kamal.
So, Lokesh Kanagaraj, who is regarded as the biggest director in Kollywood, is now facing difficulties to maintain the same hype or craze. On the other hand, his debut as a lead actor in a film also has to go on set this year.
Also, if Lokesh is not doing the multistarrer of Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, then his next directorial will be Kaithi 2.
