The Raja Saab is one of the most anticipated biggies of this year and also a contender for biggest grosser this year. One of the main reasons for the heavy expectations of this project is that Prabhas will be featuring in a horror genre for the first time. This genre is doing well at the box office currently and has the potential to bring pan-Indian audience to the theatres.
Like many recent Prabhas movies, the Raja Saab has been postponed extensively due to the VFX work. The release date was announced for 10th April, but it did not arrive at that time. The audience also expected a new release date on Sankranthi, but that did not happen.
According to reports, the makers are planning to release the film towards the end of June. Interestingly, Prabhas’ last film, Kalki 2898 AD, was also released around the same time and grossed more than 1000 Cr at the Box office.
Directed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab also stars Malavika Mohanan and Nidhi Agerwal in key roles. People Media Factory is bankrolling this romantic horror comedy film.
