The Raja Saab, which was initially planned as a small film, has developed into a large-scale, big-budget horror fantasy project. The film is reportedly being made with an overall budget of around ₹350 crore.
The non-theatrical rights have been sold for a good amount. The music rights have been acquired by T-Series, while the digital and satellite rights have been bagged by the Star Group (Jio Hotstar). It is said that nearly 50% of the film’s budget has already been recovered through these non-theatrical deals.
The producer is releasing the movie on his own across all languages and territories by taking advances from distributors and offering them a certain percentage as commission. For both the producer and distributors to be safe, the film needs to collect more than ₹400 crore gross and around ₹200 crore share worldwide.
The Raja Saab Break-Even Target is Achievable Due to Prabhas’ Stardom
In terms of language-wise performance, the Telugu version alone needs to collect about ₹290 crore gross. Overall, across all languages, The Raja Saab, the horror fantasy project, must collect around ₹410 crore gross worldwide. This is definitely an achievable target with decent word of mouth. If the word of mouth is strong, the film could easily cross ₹500 crore gross worldwide.
