The GOAT Hitting 150 Cr Overseas

Vijay’s The GOAT has performed exceptionally well in Tamil Nadu and overseas markets. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the total overseas collection of The GOAT is around $17.6M and it’s all set to cross the Rs 150 Cr milestone by tomorrow. This massive figure has become the all-time 5th highest for Kollywood overseas grossers after Leo, Jailer, 2 Point 0, and Ponniyin Selvan.

The GOAT performed exceptionally well in the overseas territories. This science fiction action film achieved breakeven in all territories. The breakeven gross is at $15M and the film is expected to collect around $19 M in full run.

The GOAT has also entered the Rs 400 crores club and has become the 14th South Indian film to do so. In Kollywood, 2.0, Vikram, Jailer, Leo, and Ponniyin Selvan have entered this club and now this Venkat Prabhu starter has become 6th film to do so. The film is also marching towards being the Tamil Nadu highest grosser. Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 1 holds this record.
