The GOAT: Fake and Exaggerated numbers

The GOAT starring Vijay released yesterday amidst great hype and expectations. The film has also grossed more than 100 crores worldwide. But the Production house has exaggerated the numbers and released a fake poster claiming the film had collected 126 crores. This has gone viral now and some netizens are coming out strongly on the production house.

The film as said has obviously crossed 100 crores worldwide but the makers have exaggerated it by adding more than 25% which looked shocking. Vijay’s previous film, Leo which came close to 150 crores gross was announced exactly by the makers with no exaggeration. But this was not the case with The GOAT. They have come up with 126 crores which goes out of logic.

Netizens are comparing both The GOAT and Jawan on these collections and doubting the performance of The GOAT. Jawan posted 129 crores with a stunning opening in so many screens all over the world but that’s not the case with The GOAT. They couldn’t believe how The GOAT went close to Jawan’s numbers and are ridiculing this on social media. This is not at all a good move by the production house. We have to see if this was only for the opening day or it may continue till the weekend and there on.

Meanwhile, the film is holding well in Tamil Nadu and overseas but underperforming in Telugu States and Kerala. Big losses are expected in this region. Karnataka’s performance looks okayish.
