Shankar’s political thriller Game Changer was initially scheduled for a worldwide release in Decemeber, coinciding with Christmas. But owing to distributers’ requests, the makers chose to postpone it to January, on the eve of Sankranthi.
To accomodate Game Changer, Chiranjeevi’s fantasy drama Vishwambhara has been shifted to a different date that is yet to be finalised. Now that the Christmas season is available, Naga Chaitanya’s Big Budget Pan India films Thandel is reportedly aiming for it.
But the team is also exploring the possibilities. To release the movie by Christmas, they need to complete all the work by the end of November. The team is currently working on this, and if they are confident about finishing everything by November end, they will announce the release date for December 20.This will be a perfect release date for the film. With Sankranti already packed and multiple big releases scheduled continuously for the summer, the Christmas season will be the best option for them.
Written and directed by Chandoo Mundeti, it features Sai Pallavi as the female lead. A production of Allu Aravind’s Geetha Arts, the film’s music is composed by ‘Rock Star’ Devi Sri Prasad.
