Thandel Set for 1st Week Breakeven

Putting the 100 Cr club aside, Thandavakone is a very good and much-needed box office success for Naga Chaitanya, and it became his career's highest grosser. The film did really well in India, but it disappointed big time with its overseas performance, which is also one of the reasons for the film not getting the expected numbers. Thandel falls short of 100 Cr as it did not create much impact in Tamil and Hindi as well.

Thandel is all set to become a clean hit at the box office. After an extraordinary 1st weekend, Thandel is holding decently at the box office on weekdays too. For 5 days the film has collected more than 65 Cr gross and close to 37 Cr share worldwide. Thandel is set for 1st week breakeven.

The breakeven target is 40 Cr share for the film and it is expected to be achieved on the 7th day itself. Thandel is set for 1st week breakeven, and achieving such a big feat in the 1st week itself is a very good achievement for the film.

Thandel: AKkineni Family’s first 100 Cr Film

The film is also on the way to becoming the highest-grosser / share film for Naga Chaitanya within 1st week itself as a solo hero. If the 2nd weekend holds good then definitely the film will join the 100 Cr gross club in 2nd week itself. No Akkineni hero has joined the 100 Cr club Until now, and Naga Chaitanya is likely to achieve this feat first from the family.

Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, Thandel is based on true events, focusing on a fisherman named Thandel Raju (played by Chaitanya) who, along with his fellow fishermen, loses his way at sea and accidentally drifts into Pakistani waters, resulting in their capture and imprisonment in a Pakistani jail.
