Several prominent Telugu film producers met Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Power Star Pawan Kalyan in Rajahmundry to discuss pressing issues facing the industry, particularly the ongoing single-screen theatre dispute.

Key Producers Discuss Industry Concerns

Leading producers including Y. Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers and Suryadevara Naga Vamsi were part of the crucial discussions held on Tuesday. Producers Sahu Garapati, Cherukuri Sudhakar, and Kilaru Venkata Satish also attended the meeting.

The high-level meeting has gained significant attention as it comes amid the ongoing percentage system dispute involving single-screen theatres in Andhra Pradesh and Nizam regions. Producers and distributors have been expressing concerns over the current revenue-sharing model, which has become a major pain point within the industry.

Deputy CM Assures Support and Resolution

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Naga Vamsi and other producers revealed that they explained the industry’s concerns in detail to Pawan Kalyan. The Deputy Chief Minister patiently heard their concerns and assured them of his support and the government’s cooperation in resolving the issues.

According to reports, Pawan Kalyan assured that disputes between producers and exhibitors would soon be resolved through discussions and mutual understanding. He also promised that the government would work towards finding permanent solutions to issues affecting the Telugu film industry.
