Telugu Film Industry: Dil Raju Thanks DCM Pawan Kalyan for his suggestions

The issue of theater shutdowns and problems between distributors/exhibitors and the producers escalated to the AP government in recent days. In this regard, producer Dil Raju thanked DCM Pawan Kalyan for his valuable suggestions for the Telugu film industry.

DCM Pawan Kalyan suggests some changes in Telugu Cinema Industry Exhibition

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan suggested some crucial issues in the Telugu cinema industry and theater that are becoming a burden for audiences. He released a list of guidelines that are to be followed by exhibitors.

Today, Pawan Kalyan spoke to the cinematography minister Kandula Durgesh and officials and discussed the rates of eatables in theaters, cleanliness in theaters, and ticket rates, along with discussing who was behind the idea of shutting down theaters.

Dil Raju Backs Pawan Kalyan’s Suggestions

Producer Dil Raju thanked DCM Pawan Kalyan for his valuable suggestions for the Telugu film industry. The renowned producer recently arranged a press meet and stated that he or the Telugu Film Chamber did not announce any shutdown of theaters.

The Official Response of Producer Dil Raju

“I fully agree with the views of the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri Pawan Kalyan Garu, on bringing the average cinema audience to the theaters. His view that the prices of eatables and beverages in cinema halls should be made available to all is commendable. Let us all welcome this and move forward together.

Also, with movies moving quickly from theaters to OTT platforms, the audiences are more interested in watching them on OTT. So, we all need to take a collective decision on how much of a gap a film should have between its theatrical and OTT release.

It is the responsibility of all of us to meaningfully convey to the audience the experience of watching a movie on the silver screen. The suggestion that the government should be approached only through the film chamber and not in person will give a lasting direction to the industry.

That is why the Telugu film industry should move forward with the government. My special thanks to the honorable Shri Pawan Kalyan garu for taking important first steps in this direction. Piracy is another important reason why audiences do not come to theaters. Only when we all fight piracy together will we be able to bring our audience back to the theaters.

We will also consult the Telangana government on all the issues suggested by the Andhra Pradesh government, and the Producers Council will work together for the development of our Telugu cinema.”
