The postponement of Salaar from 28th September has opened up a huge opportunity for movies across the industry. Ram’s Skanda and four Tamil films are pushing their movies to the Salaar release date.
As long as Salaar was set for 28th September, no one was ready for competition and now with this postponement, all others are looking to block this date. However, in a bid to replace the Salaar release date, several movies have missed another beneficial release date.
15th September is definitely the best release date with long weekend advantage due to it being Vinayaka Chaviti weekend. Had any medium or small budget released during this period, with some positive talk, it definitely would have shown numbers at the box office. A big opportunity has been missed. Many films have completed the shoot part but still don’t know why they are releasing the film from this month’s end despite of huge competition.
