After a long wait, the Government of Telangana has officially released the G.O. approving the ticket rate hike for the highly anticipated Akhanda 2, which is set to release on December 5, 2025. The hiked ticket prices will be allowed for a limited period.
As per the order, a special benefit show is allowed at 8:00 PM on December 4, 2025, with ticket prices set at ₹600 (inclusive of GST). Following the release, from December 5 to December 7, ticket rates will be increased by ₹50 per ticket in single-screen theatres and ₹100 per ticket in multiplexes, which are inclusive of GST, unlike the other biggies.
This short-term approval for the ticket rate hike from the Telangana government for Akhanda 2 will certainly make the makers happy, but it also hints that the permission came after many negotiations.
Now, let us wait and see how the premieres of the Akhanda sequel will be received by audiences. Also, the Tamil Nadu issues for the film have been cleared, and the bookings are open now.
