Tamil People are not happy with Ponniyin Selvan 2 Climax

Mani Ratnam’s dream project, Ponniyin Selvan’s part 2 was released in the theaters on last weekend and received a good response from the audience and critics as well. The audience liked it better than part 1 because this sequel had more emotional connect. The film, though a bit under performed on the opening day, showed better numbers on the second day as expected by the trade circles, and it continued the good run at the box office even after the opening weekend as it crossed the magical 200 Crore Mark at the box office.

However, PS 2 lacked the hype of a sequel, which is why it saw a considerable drop in the collections after 4 days. The Tamil audience also were not happy with the changes made by Mani Ratnam in the movie compared to the novel. Especially Tamil audience are disappointed with Ponniyin Selvan 2 Climax.

It is very well known to everyone that Ponniyin Selvan series is based on a novel and the novel is very much loved by the Tamil people as it consists the story of their history, and they feel it as a pride. Mani Ratnam has made some changes in the movie by taking some cinematic liberties and especially the climax was changed, which has not gone well with the Tamil people.

The film comprises a huge star cast that includes Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, and Jayam Ravi. Ashwin Kakumanu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Sarath Kumar, Prabhu, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Parthiban, Lal, and Mohan Raman are also part of the cast. The movie is Produced by Madras Talkies in association with Lyca Productions.

The music of the film is scored by AR Rahman, and the cinematography has been handled by Ravi Varman, editing by Sreekar Prasad, production design by Thotta Tharani, dialogues by Jeyamohan, costumes by Eka Lakhani, make-up by Vikram Gaikwad, and choreography by Brinda.
