Recently Vijay has created a very good market and success in Telugu and AR Murgudoss’ Katthi and Thupaki were the main reason for this. Slowly and steadily, he created a decent market in Telugu states. Despite having a decent following here, he chooses not to attend events in Telugu states. Even for promotions of Varasudu he did not attend any event the film having a Telugu director and Producer.
The results of Varasudu were also quite lukewarm with average revenues as the leading star failed to promote the movie. Dhanush, on the other hand also has a good following in Telugu states he came to Hyderabad for promotions and has successfully managed to create a buzz for the film and put his best foot forward.
Its about time Vijay takes a leaf out of Dhanush’s books and starts appearing for Telugu events as it would help his films immensely.
Venky Atluri has directed Vaathi/ Sir, a bilingual film. The film also stars Samyukhta, Samuthirakani, Tanikella Bharani, and Sai Kumar in pivotal roles. Vaathi has music by GV Prakash and is produced by Sithara Entertainment and Fortune Four Cinemas. Dhanush will be seen as a teacher in this film with Samuthirakani playing the negative role.
