Tamil cinema professionals openly criticizing the National Film Awards

The recently announced National Film Awards brought great joy to the Telugu film industry. It was a great moment for the likes of Allu Arjun, MM Keeravani, Chandrabose, and Prem Rakshit along with the teams of RRR, and Uppena among others. It rained awards for the Telugu film industry like never before.

On the other hand, the Tamil industry and audience expressed dissatisfaction as quality films like Jai Bhim, Karnan, and Sarpatta Parambarai were ignored. Over the past few days, industry insiders and film lovers have expressed their unhappiness.

Actor Vishal openly lashed out at the National Awards jury and selection committee for ignoring Tamil cinema this year. Vishal’s comments on awards came in response to a question about the National Awards.

He stated, “I don’t trust them at all. The greatest award is given by all the people to the artist’s performance after watching the film. An honest award is the judgment given by the audience. With the blessings of the audience, I have sustained my career in the film industry for many years, which is a significant award for me. Even if I receive awards for the films I have acted in, I would throw them in the trash.”
