After the massive success of Suriya starrer Soorarai Pottru (Aakasam Nee Haddura), Sudha Kongara is directing its Hindi remake as well. This untitled remake will star Akshay Kumar and Suriya is producing it and will also play a cameo in this film.
As per reports, Sudha Kongara is also planning to direct a female-centric movie post the Bollywood project. She is reportedly in talks with Keerthy Suresh for this film. While further details are not out on this, this film will only move ahead after her Bollywood project.
Sudha Kongara has also been simultaneously directing OTT anthologies. Her segment on the Netflix anthology ‘Thangam’ was well appreciated.
Meanwhile, after 3 consecutive box-office failures like Bachchan Pandey, Samrat Prithviraj, and Raksha Bandhan, Akshay Kumar has pinned all hopes on this remake project. The film is in the shooting stage and will release in 2023.
