Shraddha Kapoor’s horror comedy Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank is off for a thunderous opening at the box office. Collecting INR 9 crore from paid premieres alone, the film minted a staggering INR 55 crore in its first day of theatrical run.
Overall, the day-1 gross stands at INR 64 crore, thus emerging as the second biggest opener for a Hindi film, only behind Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan (2023). This is an exceptional performance for a movie of this kind. Considering the long weekend ahead, Stree-2 is expected to post bigger numbers till Sunday.
