Story behind Pawan Kalyan’s serious comments on Industry

This news has created waves on social media, as the theater shutdown issue took a political turn. Netizens have varied opinions on the Janasena Party suspending a member amidst the theater strike controversy. Deputy CM Pawan requested a meeting with Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh to discuss a detailed investigation on the entire issue and asked for full details on who initiated the problem and its escalation. He wondered why two senior producers addressed the media about this issue separately over two days. The DCM office announced that Pawan Kalyan called for a committee to examine theater food and beverage rates. He believes the prices are sky-high, making a family of four hesitant to visit theaters often. He requested the committee to investigate crowd management issues in theaters and their ticket pricing facilities. He urged them to investigate ticket pricing and its fairness. Pawan also pointed out that even in his upcoming film, Hari Hara Veera Mallu's producer should ask for the ticket hikes through the chamber.

Recently, the theatre management’s decision to close the Theatres created a sensation in Tollywood circles. Following this decision, Tollywood Actor Pawan Kalyan responded angrily and criticized the decision on his official X/Twitter handle. Many wondered what made Pawan Kalyan to come down this heavily on Distributors.

Now, Tollywood producer Bunny Vas has shared detailed information regarding this incident. He said that Pawan Kalyan had received screenshots of the discussion happened in the WhatsApp groups of the Distributors. According to this discussion, a few Distributors expressed that the issue would get big limelight if Pawan Kalyan’s film, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, was affected.

Bunny Vas also said that few others objected to this and genuinely proposed the idea of banning the theatres. Nevertheless, the ban didn’t happen and surprisingly, release of Haria Hara Veera Mallu has also been postponed.
