Sreenu Vaitla and Sharwanand Film Eyes Sankranthi 2027

Director Sreenu Vaitla and actor Sharwanand have officially teamed up for a new film backed by Anil Sunkara‘s AK Entertainments, targeting a Sankranthi 2027 release.

The project’s office opening ceremony and pooja were held today at Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, marking the official launch of the collaboration.

Production and Release Plans

The makers have begun pre-production work with the goal of releasing the film during the Sankranthi 2027 season. Sharwanand announced the Sankranthi 2027 target earlier, making this one of the first projects to lock the lucrative festival window.

Initially, Mythri Movie Makers was attached to produce this entertainer. However, Anil Sunkara‘s AK Entertainments has now taken over as the production house for the Sreenu Vaitla and Sharwanand film.

The film’s title is rumored to be George Krish, though no official confirmation has been made yet.

Sreenu Vaitla’s Blockbuster Track Record

Director Sreenu Vaitla is known for delivering commercial blockbusters across multiple star combinations. His hit filmography includes Anandam, Venky, Dhee, Ready, King, Dookudu, and Baadshah.

The collaboration with Sharwanand marks a fresh pairing for the director, who has primarily worked with established mass heroes.

Sharwanand’s Sankranthi Move

Sharwanand is coming off the release of Biker, his motocross drama that released in April 2026. With the Sreenu Vaitla project, the actor is positioning himself for the competitive Sankranthi 2027 festival season.

The Sankranthi window is one of the most lucrative release periods in Telugu cinema, and multiple biggies are already eyeing the 2027 slot.

Further details about the cast, crew, and official title are expected to be announced soon.
