It is widely known that the upcoming mass action entertainer, Skanda in the combination of Ram Pothineni and Boyapati Sreenu is going through unexpected hiccups before the release. The film was set to be released on September 15th, but at the last minute it got postponed to 28th September. Meanwhile, the latest censor report from BBFC indicates that the film has a strong bloody violence.
While the Indian Censor Board (CBFC) had given U/A rating, the BBFC [British censor board] certified the film, Skanda with ‘15’ rating, and its runtime is 167 minutes. According to the BBFC report, Skanda is the story of a young man who is a son of a respected village leader and takes on his father’s two political enemies by befriending their daughters.
Anyone who is familiar with Boyapati’s movies can guess that his movies will have excessive violence, and Skanda is also reported to have strong and bloody parts of violence. Also, the film is said to have consisting elements like drugs, threat, and horror and suicide. Though there are no visuals where the women characters get abused in the film, it is said that it will have a few male characters who are shown as the sexual abusers with undisclosed offenses.
Directed by Boyapati Sreenu and starring Ram and Sree Leela in the lead roles, Skanda also stars Srikanth, Gauthami, Saiee Manjarekar among others. SS Thaman has composed the music, while Srinivasaa Chitturi has produced this action entertainer on a massive budget under the Srinivasaa Silver Screen banner. Skanda is set to hit the screens worldwide in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi languages.
