Sikandar could not reach the expectations
When the film’s announcement came, it received a good buzz because of the director Murugadoss’s name and the release date being Eid; everyone expected it would be a revival project for both Salman Khan and Murugadoss.
However, as the promotional content started to come out, the film’s buzz got killed, which resulted in poor openings, and the film also opened with unanimous negative reviews. On Sunday and the following EID holiday, the movie somehow put up decent numbers, but after that, it completely saw a downfall.

On the 2nd weekend, the film did not pick up and completely crashed at the box office. For the 1st week, the film just collected 80 Cr net in India, and there is no chance for the film to go past 100 Cr, and even reaching 90 Cr seems tough.

Sikandar Box Office: An Outright Disastrous Result
Overall, for the 1st week, the net of the film in India is 80 Cr, and the gross is around 95 Cr; the overseas gross is 6M [52 Cr], which takes the total worldwide gross to 147 Cr, and the closing will be around 160 Cr.
The team spent a big budget on the film, and sadly, it gathered collections like an outright disaster.
