On September 8, Marimuthu reported having a cardiac arrest and was taken to a private hospital in Chennai. He succumbed to his illness at 8:30 a.m. on the same day due to his failure to respond to the treatment. Marimuthu’s sudden demise has caused shockwaves throughout Kollywood.
Marimuthu, who was 57 years old, played a supporting role in Rajinikanth’s latest film’Jailer,’ which was released in theaters in August. G. Marimuthu, who worked as an associate to directors Vasanth, Seeman, and SJ Suryah, made his directorial debut with the 2008 Tamil film ‘Kannum Kannum’. Marimuthu then directed ‘Pulivaal, which was released in 2014, while both his directorial had Prasanna in the main role. Marimuthu has also acted in over 50 films, and his memorable roles include ‘Yuddham Sei’, ‘Nimirndhu Nil’, ‘Marudhu’, ‘Bairavaa’, ‘Kadaikutty Singam’, ‘Veeramae Vaagai Soodum’, and others.
Marimuthu also played a leading role in a Tamil television industry, because of which he became famous in the audience. Marimuthu received success in films only recently, even though he has been in the industry for a long time.
