Shankar stayed as the top director of the Indian Film Industry for years. He, in this process, came up with the biggest blockbusters and also raised the standards of filmmaking. But it seems Shankar has lost his charm with his recent films. It also appears that Shankar has disconnected from reality going by his words about the poor reviews Game Changer has been getting.
Success and failure are very common in the film Industry and one should only learn from this by improving his strengths and weaknesses. But Shankar looks the opposite of this. His 2.0 which was made with a lavish budget became a failure. He didn’t learn anything from this and continued making Indian 2 with the same extravaganza scale.
Indian 2 which was released last year bombed like anything making it Kollywood’s biggest disaster. He still didn’t change taking much time for Game Changer’s making and only increased the budget scale. But Game Changer too is heading towards a big failure. Interestingly, Shankar now in an interview says that he had come across only positive reviews for Game Changer which shocked everyone.
This makes all wonder if Shankar can’t accept reality or not see it properly. It’s better if he takes feedback from all sides and corrects himself. He should direct Indian 3 which has been put on hold. So, let’s see.
