Satya’s Jetlee Gets U/A Certificate, Ready for May 1 Release

Comedian Satya steps into the spotlight as the lead in the upcoming film Jetlee, a fresh and intriguing entertainer directed by Ritesh Rana, best known for Mathu Vadalara. Satya’s Jetlee has successfully completed its censor formalities and has been awarded a U/A certificate. With a runtime of 132 minutes, the film promises a crisp and engaging cinematic experience.

Strong Buzz Ahead of May 1 Release

Set for release on May 1, which falls on a public holiday, Jetlee is arriving at the perfect time to draw audiences to theatres. The teaser and trailer have already generated solid buzz, creating strong anticipation around the project. Trade circles expect the film to open to impressive numbers at the box office.

Produced under the Clap Entertainment banner by Chiranjeevi (Cherry) and Hemalatha Pedamallu, the film features Riya Suman as the female lead and Vennela Kishore in a key supporting role. Backing the project as presenters is Mythri Movie Makers, who previously supported the Mathu Vadalara franchise.

Director Ritesh Rana on the Unique Concept

Speaking about the film, Ritesh Rana revealed that the story was conceived during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, in collaboration with writer Jayendra. After years of planning, the project finally went on floors in November last year and is now ready for release.

The director shared that the title Jetlee comes from the presence of a character named Jetlee, with the entire narrative unfolding inside an aircraft. “The story takes place during a journey from Dubai to Kochi. It’s a complete entertainer packed with action, thrills, and humor,” he said.

Elaborate Aircraft Set for Authentic Experience

Interestingly, nearly 80% of Satya’s Jetlee is set on the flight. To achieve this, the team constructed an elaborate aircraft set featuring five different sections, including economy class, business class, cargo, and cockpit, all built on a single floor. Ritesh Rana added that Jetlee stands as one of the most challenging films he has worked on so far.
