Sardar 2 is a Tamil spy-action thriller starring Karthi in a dual role, alongside S. J. Suryah, Malavika Mohanan, Ashika Ranganath, Rajisha Vijayan and Yogi Babu. Directed by P. S. Mithran, the sequel follows Inspector Vijay Prakash as a dangerous national-security threat involving a biochemical weapon forces him to reconnect with his father, the legendary spy Sardar. The film is a follow-up to the 2022 hit Sardar, with Karthi reprising both characters from the original. Sam C. S. composed the music, while George C. Williams handled cinematography.
Sardar 2 OTT Release Date
After its theatrical release on September 10, Sardar 2 is now heading to Amazon Prime Video on October 1, 2026. The streaming release will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada, giving audiences across multiple South Indian markets as well as the Hindi-speaking belt an opportunity to watch the action thriller from home. The OTT premiere comes just 21 days after its theatrical debut.
