Santhosham Awards upset the Kannada industry

Santhosham Awards upset the Kannada industry. Kannada film personalities, including noted actor-filmmaker Ramesh Aravind, were reportedly humiliated at the Santosham South Indian Film Awards 2023.

The organizers insulted Ramesh Aravind as they switched off lights when he took the stage, and the event ended abruptly, as per a tweet posted by journalist A Sharadhaa. The awards ceremony was held at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium in Goa.

Only a single award was presented to each Kranti and Veda team. As Ramesh Aravind took the stage, the organizers reportedly switched off the lights, leading the anchor to exit and instructing Kannada actors to leave.

If it was not enough, those who attended the event found themselves without arranged accommodations. Ramesh Aravind, B Suresha, Shylaja Nag, Vani Harikrishna, A Harsha, Ragini Dwivedi, and other film personalities encountered challenges during the hotel check-out process.

Organizers had yet to settle the bills and had locked the rooms. They had to wait for the police intervention to depart for the airport.  The Kannada people are outraged as Santhosham Awards upset the Kannada industry.
