Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has finally broken his silence about Deepika Padukone’s controversial departure from his upcoming film ‘Spirit’, starring. Although he didn’t mention her name directly, Sandeep Reddy took to social media with a sharp message,that the actress is indulging in “dirty PR games” after quitting the project.
Initially, Deepika’s involvement was touted as a strong and well-written female lead, with media praising her role as one of the best in Vanga’s films. However, the narrative shifted dramatically post her exit, with reports suggesting she left due to bold content, A-rated scenes, and challenging schedules—implying discomfort with the film’s demands.
Vanga, visibly upset, criticized the attempts to undermine his story and cast, particularly new lead Triptii Dimri, who previously worked with him in ‘Animal’. He emphasized that storytelling involves immense effort and trust and indirectly questioned whether such behavior aligns with true feminism.
The timing of Dimri’s announcement, soon after Deepika’s exit, further fueled speculation. Vanga’s post made it clear—he views these reports as deliberate attempts to tarnish the film and discredit both his creative vision and younger actors involved in the project.
