Sai Pallavi has revealed that filming for Ramayana Part 2 has not started yet, raising doubts about its planned Diwali 2027 release. The Sai Pallavi Ramayana update came when she spoke to the media at the film’s first world premiere in Los Angeles.
Ramayana Part 2 Shoot Status
The makers had officially set November 5, 2026 for the release of Ramayana Part 1, with Part 2 announced for Diwali 2027. This led to expectations that both parts had been shot simultaneously, with only limited portions remaining for the sequel.
However, Sai Pallavi’s latest statement suggests that a significant portion of Part 2’s shoot could still be pending. The makers have not officially commented on the sequel’s schedule.
Will Ramayana Part 2 Move to Diwali 2028?
If the shoot is indeed pending, the sequel may not arrive in 2027 and could move to Diwali 2028. This is an inference from her comments, not an official announcement.
Good News for Spirit?
The delay could work in favour of Prabhas’ Spirit. A postponement of Ramayana Part 2 may give the film a chance at a solo big release during Diwali 2027.
