With the greater profits expected, there lies the greater risk too. RRR is such project that everyone involved in the business expected more profits. With the demand it gained, it had been sold to more prices. With the positive response all over, the collections are promising for the stake holders involved.
But in Most of the B and C Centers, RRR was sold to more than 150% higher than Baahubali2 prices. Hence they started selling tickets at very high rates which effected the footfalls and collections. In most of the centers the movie has not recovered even 60% of the cost.
Now everyone is eyeing on Ugadi weekend. They are expecting Saturday and Sunday to have huge collections. Ugadi seems to be the last hope for exhibitors to attain breakeven status. In most of the places they are trying to release 3D version to attract repeat audience. But B and C centers exhibitors are more worried as they are still waiting to get the break even prices. Hope Ugadi brings happiness to everyone involved.
