Ram Charan and Sukumar’s RC17 is finally moving towards the sets. Mythri Movie Makers has shared a new picture of director Sukumar with his team, announcing that the work space for the film is ready and that the pooja ceremony will take place soon.
What Mythri Said
Sharing the picture, Mythri Movie Makers wrote:
“THE MASTERMIND and his DEN for #RC17 are READY. The journey begins with the pooja ceremony soon. Stay tuned for exciting updates.”
The picture shows Sukumar surrounded by a large team inside a new office, a clear sign that pre-production on the film is in full swing and the project is ready to move to the next stage.
The Rangasthalam Reunion
RC17 brings Ram Charan and Sukumar together for the second time after Rangasthalam in 2018. That film is still remembered as one of the best of both their careers. Ram Charan’s performance as Chitti Babu won him huge praise, and the film became a massive blockbuster, changing the way audiences looked at him as an actor.
Since then, Sukumar has delivered the Pushpa franchise with Allu Arjun, with Pushpa 2: The Rule becoming one of the biggest blockbusters in Indian cinema history. Ram Charan, meanwhile, became a global name with RRR. Their reunion now carries far bigger expectations than their first film did.
A New Music Partner
RC17 also marks a big change for Sukumar. For the first time in his career, he is making a film without Devi Sri Prasad, who composed music for every Sukumar film from Arya to Pushpa 2. Anirudh Ravichander is set to come on board as the music director, which will also be Ram Charan’s first film with Anirudh.
The decision has split fans. Ram Charan fans are celebrating the new combination, while many Sukumar fans are disappointed to see the director end his long partnership with DSP.
Pooja Ceremony Soon
With the team now in place, the pooja ceremony is the next step, and Mythri has promised more exciting updates soon. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers along with Sukumar Writings.
For Ram Charan fans, this is the update they have been waiting for since the project was first announced in 2024. After a long wait, RC17 is finally ready to begin its journey.
