Ravi Teja had a fantastic start to this year with Dhamaka, which was released late last year continuing its houseful shows everywhere. This massive success was followed by Waltair Veerayya in which his powerful performance was well appreciated by the audience and the film also emerged as a box-office blockbuster.
Post that, fans placed high hopes on Ravanasura which unfortunately failed to live up to the expectations and emerged as a failure. The mixed filmography has raised many questions with many reports suggesting that there was a lapse in judgment on the Mass Maharaja’s part regarding Dhamaka and Ravanasura.
According to Ravi Teja’S close circles, he did not have full confidence in Dhamaka and instead had big hopes for Ravanusara as he believed strongly in Sudheer Verma’s content. Surprisingly, Dhamaka emerged as a huge blockbuster and Ravanusara ended up as a failure.
This has now brought forth the importance of songs in a film’s success. Content-wise, Ravanasura may be better than Dhamaka but Dhamaka had the additional advantage of a blockbuster album.
Directed by Sudheer Varma, Ravanasura had a massive star cast that included Daksha Nagarkar, Faria Abdullah, Sushant, Megha Akash, Poojita Ponnada, and Anu Emanuel. Ravi Teja himself co-produced this movie alongside Abhishek Nama’s Abhishek Pictures.
