Famous Tamil actor Ravi Mohan, who used to go by Jayam Ravi, kicked off his new production company. The actor is all set to direct Karthi, which was confirmed by the latter a while ago.
Ravi Mohan Studios, during a glitzy launch event in Teynampet, Chennai, was launched on Tuesday. Big names from the South Indian film industry showed up at the event.
The idea behind these studios is to set up a place for great stories and help new talent shine. Ravi just announced the studio’s first project, and he’s set to direct a film featuring Yogi Babu under the new banner. He talked about his hopes of getting his son started in the industry through this venture.
Karthi was one of the guests for the event, and he confirmed that Ravi Mohan has narrated him a story, and they both together will star in it, directed by Ravi himself. The Kaithi actor said that Ravi had performed well during script narration and reminded him of Jim Carrey.
The other guests for the event were Kannada superstar Shivaraj Kumar, Sivakarthikeyan, Genelia D’Souza, SJ Suryah, Atharvaa, and Yogi Babu.
