Rashmika Mandanna’s “Thamma” was released in theaters during Diwali, with moderate expectations, and it performed well at the box office, grossing around 180 Cr worldwide. The film is now set for its OTT premiere on Prime Video, but not for all subscribers.
The latest update is that “Thamma,” starring Rashmika Mandanna and Ayushmann Khurana, is arriving on Prime Video on December 2nd. However, it will not initially be available for streaming to regular subscribers.
Initially, the film will be available for rent. After the eight-week theatrical window is over, it will be available for regular subscribers.
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the movie is part of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU) and draws inspiration from Indian folklore about betaals (vampiric beings). The film follows a journalist who has a supernatural encounter and falls in love with a woman who is not a normal person but a vampire/betaal.
